Event Logistics and Turnkey Deliveries

It’s the final day of the Cheltenham Festival, this is one of the top ten attended UK sporting events and an example of perfectly planned event logistics. Over quarter of a million people visit over the 4 days using approximately 11,000 sqm of temporary facilities, including the world’s longest 180m long triple decker suite accommodating 25,000 hospitality guests each day in restaurant dining facilities. Half a million items of furniture and tableware were supplied in six artic lorry loads. This level of turnkey service is unrivalled within the UK events marketplace.

Turnkey deliveries are products or services designed, supplied, built, or installed fully complete and ready to operate. At TPS Global our labour and delivery teams can assist with the transportation and installation of these products – could be furniture, exhibition stands, IT suites or triple decker temporary hospitality structures.

The transport and logistic numbers at Cheltenham are eye watering, in addition to temporary buildings, 5,936 members of staff are employed; 9 tons of potatoes, 5 tons of salmon and 236,472 pints of Guinness are consumed; there are 100 helicopter movements per day; 30 extra flights are put on by Ryanair; 134,600 people use Cheltenham Spa train station and 36,500 cars are parked daily. It is a truly multi-modal event.

Events of any size require careful planning and preparation and we can help with our specialist event division who can collect, deliver and install furniture and equipment. We coordinate all aspects of your transportation, delivery, handling and storage. Ensuring your goods arrive safely and on time at every venue, wherever your event takes you.

The logistics of getting exhibition goods from your own premises to an event can often be complex, especially for international events. We can help with import and export documentation, customs clearance and overseas storage.

At the event our team oversees onsite services, such as load in/load out, using lifting equipment, and labour to build stands or install specialist audio/visual/tech and telecom equipment. Then after the event we can dismantle, transport and store your goods until the next event, or arrange for onward distribution as necessary.

By offering a complete package, we make sure everything runs smoothly and on-time.
