TPS Global Logistics Giving Back

As a logistics service provider by reducing our environmental impact, we reduce our customers’ too. We’ve gone paper free with our picking. By using handheld digital devices we save up to 3,000 pieces of paper every single day.

Our range of bespoke eco-friendly options offer sustainable packaging solutions. Speak to us about your packaging requirements.

We also offer bespoke fulfilment options, so please get in touch with us if your eCommerce brand requires unique packaging.

See what sustainable changes we have made

We invested in equipment to operate a closed loop paper recycling scheme – so we can reuse all the surplus cardboard and paper generated by the warehouse to create packaging for our clients’ goods.

Paper tape has replaced plastic – the machine measures the exact lengths to reduce waste. We have also switched to recycled plastic pallet wrap made from 30% post-consumer waste and low micron film.

We are always looking to improve our sustainability and minimise our carbon footprint, we recommend routes, schedules and consolidate where possible.

Consolidated cargo maximises the space available on pallets, vehicles and containers, avoids the cost of shipping fresh air.

We have electric car charging points, flexible working arrangements for car sharing and a cycle to work scheme. We work with a charity recycling obsolete IT equipment and supply reusable water bottles to reduce single use plastic. The lighting throughout the office and warehouse has been replaced with eco-friendly LED lights with motion sensors. We all recycle and upcycle.

We actively engage with stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and communities, to foster a culture of environmental responsibility. We seek partnerships with relevant organisations, share best practices, and collaborate on environmental initiatives to drive positive change within our industry and beyond. There is always more we can do, and we are committed to reducing the impact we have on the Earth.

We are proud to be working with AquaAid Water Coolers for our drinking water supply, as part of this partnership we have been able to contribute to the installation of an Elephant Pump in the province of Manicaland, Zimbabwe. This pump will provide safe drinking water for upwards of 300 people.

TPS Global Logistics within the Community

Community ties are important to us. Many of us offer our time to help local charities and we sponsor a variety of sporting teams and academies.

We were delivery partners for the Elmer’s Big Heart of Kent Parade Auction in 2021 fundraising for Heart of Kent Hospice. In 2024 we are the official Storage and Distribution Partner and will be placing our own sponsored Shaun sculpture on the Shaun the Sheep in the Heart of Kent Trail. Look out for our branded lorries…

Recently we have been involved in the MidKent College Ukraine Collection – storing and sorting 100+ pallets of aid and assisting with delivery to Red Cross hubs.

We are a charitable team, and all enjoy organising and taking part in various fundraising activities. In addition to annual donations to our Christmas charities we have raised nearly £50,000 for MacMillan Cancer Support with our TPS fundraising page in memory of Tim Paul Smith.

The health and wellbeing of our own employees is really important, we have 4 trained mental health first aiders, we facilitate a positive, friendly work culture alongside an all inclusive social calendar of team events. We also offer subsidised Pilates classes and provide an onsite fully equipped gym.
