We are pleased to announce that we won The Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2018, this is for the second time, as one of only 4 companies in Kent to receive the award this year we are exceptionally proud of this achievement.
The prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise is the UK’s highest official award for British business. The award recognises the last ten years of continual growth and in particular the last three years of expansion in overseas freight operations, particularly on the US and Far East trade routes, where air freight tonnage increased by 378% over the last six years.
Commenting on the Award, Matt Smith, Managing Director of TPS Global Logistics said:
‘We are delighted to be winners of this Award for the second time – The focus of our overseas strategy has been developing US high value and time critical imports and we have increased our market share of this demanding industry by increasing the size and experience of our team.
We are proud to be able to say that our business growth has been organically through reputation and referral, using our hard working team to deliver excellent customer service, introducing a host of new services and expanding operations into a new warehouse and distribution facility in Aylesford.’
Now in our 15th year of business, family founded in 2003 and still family run, we have rapidly grown over the last 2 years, moving to newly refurbished 60,000 square foot warehouse facilities in 2017.
Toby Smith, Domestic/Projects Manager and Katie Town, Air Freight Manager represented the company at a royal reception for Queen’s Awards winners at Buckingham Palace. The crystal trophy and certificate will be presented to the whole team on 21st August during a visit from the Lord Lieutenant of Kent to our Aylesford premises.
