Special insights as to how we have helped our customers…

At TPS Global we are proud of the different ways that we have been able to help our customers. Please find below a selection of case studies outlining how we have helped with their requirements.

The Project

Our client creates vape e-liquids in their West Midlands laboratory. As well as retailing on-line and in UK stores, they are exporting into Europe and Dubai, and are planning more export destinations within the Middle East, as legislation begins to relax and demand for the products are increasing.

Vape e-liquid products are often classed as hazardous goods when shipped due to ingredients. Therefore, they require experienced handling, packing, labelling and documentation to avoid costly damage and customs delays.

The issue

Most courier firms are unsuited to shipping these kinds of goods, which means shipments containing e-liquids can be held and blocked whilst correct documentation and classification are applied.

Failure to complete deliveries on time makes courier services unreliable and costly. Our client was looking for a trustworthy and reliable shipping and logistics partner that understood retail supply chain, customs and consular requirements. As well as having the experience and facilities to handle, store and re-work hazardous goods, deliver reliably on budget and on time.

The Result

Working with TPS Global Logistics has helped the client bypass the use of couriers, establish their supply chain procedures and grow the export business. All by working with our knowledgeable and experienced team.

The service is from door to door, or door to airport depending on the final mile requirements of each shipment. We pick up loose cartons from their laboratory in our own vehicles, bring back to our approved HAZ packing facility. We then pack, black wrap and secure the cartons onto a pallet for safe transit via air freight before delivering to London Heathrow in our own vehicles.

Using air freight reduces the risk of pilferage and damages during transit. We use our preferred rates with airlines to secure the quickest and most cost-effective air freight solution.

Using our own team of drivers, vehicles and warehouse operators means the process is slick and secure, our 60,000sq ft facility in Kent has state of the art security systems and our team are trustworthy and experienced giving our client complete peace of mind.

Our carefully selected oversea agents then handle the onward delivery and final mile once the goods arrive at their destination airport. We have agency partnerships in over 20 worldwide destinations and can ensure the safe delivery of goods worldwide.

Working with us as their logistics partner for the whole supply chain process – from storing, handling and shipping their high value product saved our client time and cost, whilst adding service efficiency.

Customer Testimonial

‘I’ve used various freight/forwarding companies in the past and have been let down, so I have been really impressed with the level of service offered by TPS, they are experienced handlers of hazardous goods, their partners are reliable, their teams are on top of the whole supply chain, they make the whole process seamless and find the most cost effective solution for my shipping.

I would recommend them to anyone in this industry for their knowledge and customer service.’

One of the leading names in global finance and investment required an office relocation of their Dublin headquarters. This had to take place outside working hours.

The Project

This IT logistics job required specialist knowledge. The TPS Global Logistics team were able to use their experience to dismantle, carefully pack, move and reassemble monitors, PCs and electronic equipment with minimal disruption to the banks business.

The plan was to move 180 work stations over two consecutive nights, with the team starting late evening after office hours and into the early hours of the following morning.

The Result

By working with TPS Global Logistics the firm got all of its equipment relocated without having to worry about hardware integrity or data security. This enabled it to go about its business with the knowledge that a seamless transition would be taking place without any loss to business or service.

One of our case studies, this is an example of our safe and secure IT migration solution service. Our specialist tech and telecom team are security cleared and able to carry out asset disposal.  We can remove and dispose of obsolete IT equipment and data in accordance with the UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive. This can be done either as a standalone solution or as part of an office relocation.

Consolidated shipping has many advantages for businesses. By combining LTL shipments or small individual shipments under one bill of lading and into one full container. Shippers can earn preferred rates and optimise their supply chain logistics by saving time.

Sea Freight Service

Our TPS Global Sea Freight team understand the importance of customer contact when working on consolidated shipments. It is important the shipper has confidence in the handling process. We have the process down to a fine art.

Process

When working with Buyers Consolidation Export Services –

  • TPS Global are alerted by our overseas agent of pending orders. The team organise and liaise with all suppliers to get cargo ready dates. This information is fed back to the agent controlling the data.
  • TPS Global provide optional vessel details and container loading dates. Based on ready dates and vessel close out times.
  • Once all the cargo is received into the TPS warehouse and instructions confirmed. TPS load into full 20ft or 40ft containers for export either loose or palletised.
  • Container is sealed at TPS Warehouse and returned to the quay for loading prior to cut off dates.
  • Container VGM is completed by TPS to ensure no weight discrepancy on arrival at the port.
  • Customs clearance completed by TPS and bill instructions sent to the shipping line.

This one of our case studies is an example of our consolidation service, we pride ourselves on our relationships with retailers and wholesalers as well as with our trusted overseas agents. As a full service logistics provider we go one step further offering storage, multi-modal transportation, inventory management and white glove delivery services.

Freight consolidation provides reduced risk, quality material handling and complete distribution management, a good logistics relationship provides shippers with better access to tailored shipping solutions as well as peace of mind.

At TPS Global we understand the importance of the retail consumer experience. Especially for the cosmetics industry, so when ADP approached us to store, maintain, transport, set up and break down their MiN New York beauty collateral and event stand throughout the year. We knew our experienced warehouse team would be the right people for the job.

The Project

The stand itself is a bespoke piece of kit, 10ft by 6.5ft constructed from wood and glass, comprising of shelving, light boxes and cupboards. It has to be handled and transported carefully and is accompanied by a toolkit of seasonal display items and furniture. The team install all items carefully and precisely in accordance with the artwork sent over ahead of every event. They then collect and break down the stand post event, storing all items safely in the warehouse until the next event.

The Challenge

In April the stand was transported and installed in Selfridges on Oxford Street. The challenge for this particular job was working around specific store opening times and the traffic restrictions along Oxford Street. Using our experienced 2 man team and 3.5 tonne box van with tailgate, we managed to navigate the chaos of Oxford Street after 9.30pm. Working around other deliveries and obstructions, as well as members of the public and the focus on such an iconic British store.

The Result

The stand was delivered and placed in position, dressed with the antique books, fragrances, glassware, bottles, beakers and flasks. The team worked hard assembling the items as per instructions. Bottles, flasks and beakers were filled with fresh ingredients, and dressed with decorative flora and fauna. They were then placed in the correct positions under lights and along each of the eight shelves. The stand was installed, dressed and completed within the one hour timeslot.

This is an example of our white glove service. At TPS Global we go one step further to follow our customer requirements to the letter. ADP trust us to deliver the high standards that they expect for their brand and premium products.
