It’s been a busy year so far.
We picked up the keys to the new warehouse on valentines day and since then the whole team has been busy in a variety of roles to help with the refurbishment of the building. As a family run business, teamwork is important and everyone pulled together to get the cleaning, sorting, racking and stock taking done alongside the building work, system installation and day to day running of the business. It was a phased project, working from 2 premises to minimise disruption, and we are proud of the fact that we not only managed to expand both our services and our customer base, but also picked up a couple of awards as well.
We are now together again and have grown from 18 to 33 employees, all situated in the new warehouse and distribution facility in Aylesford. The offices sit within the warehouse, enabling us to work closely as one team.
The warehouse is 60,000 square feet of which 12,000 square feet has been converted into secure storage rooms and decked mezzanine pick and pack areas, we are pleased to be able to say our pick and pack accuracy has remained at 99.1% throughout. We have new handling equipment, state of the art security, an enclosed yard, 4 shuttered loading bays each able to receive a full articulated lorry, loading ramp and all the equipment to handle oversize, valuable, time critical, hazardous and sensitive goods.
So we are in good shape and now actively seeking new business – our keys services are multi-modal freight forwarding; time critical delivery; warehousing and fulfilment; UK and European transport; IT and Event logistics; same and next day courier services.
